Once we hit 20 foundation customers, the offer closes and setup returns to $1,000. No "limited time" timer trickery — when it's gone, it's gone.

The questions every tradie asks first.

What counts as a "minute" — and what's an SMS?

Minutes: call time, end to end. From the moment Lead-Flo picks up to the moment the call ends. A 4-minute call counts as 4 minutes; a 30-second call counts as 30 seconds. Voicemail and dropped calls don't count. Spam and silent callers get filtered out automatically — they don't burn your minutes.

SMS: each text message sent counts as 1 SMS. A typical booking sends 2 — confirmation to the customer, summary to the operator. If a message is over 160 characters it'll split into 2 SMS, but our message templates are tuned to fit in one.

How many minutes will I actually use?

Most one-van operators run on 200-300 minutes a month. The average booking call is 90 seconds to 3 minutes. 200 minutes ≈ 60-100 calls. 300 minutes ≈ 100-150 calls.

If you're not sure which plan you fit, start on Operator (300 min) for the first month. We'll review your actual usage on the Foundation tune-up call and right-size you if Starter would do.

What if I go over my minutes or SMS?

We never drop your calls or hold back confirmation texts. If you exceed your monthly allowance, additional capacity comes in combined 50-minute + 50-SMS bundles at $75 each.

One top-up gets you both — no juggling separate SMS packs. You can top up manually or set it to auto-top-up. If you're consistently over, we'll suggest moving to Operator or Custom — and credit any unused bundle minutes.

What does "Foundation customer" actually mean?

You're one of the first 20 trade businesses live on Lead-Flo. In exchange for being a real-world test bed and giving us honest feedback, you get:

Setup fee waived ($1,000 saved upfront)
Permanent foundation pricing — your monthly rate is locked. We may raise prices for new customers, but yours doesn't move.
Direct line to the founder — Glenn personally handles your account for at least the first 6 months.
Quarterly product input call — your needs shape the roadmap.

In return, we'd love a quote we can use, and the occasional reference call when other trades ask "is this real?"

Is there a contract or lock-in?

No. Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days' notice — that's it.

We're not chasing you with retention emails or "are you sure?" pop-ups. If Lead-Flo isn't paying for itself within 60 days, we want you to leave and tell us why.

What happens if Lead-Flo can't handle a call?

It escalates. If a caller wants something Lead-Flo isn't trained for — a complex quote, an emergency outside your service area, a complaint — it takes a message and texts you the summary. You decide whether to call back or not.

Edge cases are part of the Foundation tune-up. We monitor what's getting escalated and tighten the script every quarter so it handles more over time.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Most operators set up call forwarding from their existing number to Lead-Flo, so callers dial the same number they always have. No porting required, no number changes for your customers.

If you'd rather Lead-Flo have a dedicated number (so you can use the original for outgoing calls), we can set that up too.

What if my job system isn't on your integrations list?

If it has a public API, we can usually build the integration. Email Glenn — most custom integrations take 1-2 weeks.

If your system has no API (Tradify, for example), Lead-Flo falls back to writing bookings to a shared Google Sheet that mirrors your job structure. Not as clean as direct integration, but it works.

Are prices in NZD or AUD?

NZD ex GST. AU customers are billed in AUD at the equivalent rate at signup, locked in 12 months. Custom-plan customers can choose either.

How does Lead-Flo make money if you waive setup?

Honest answer: we're betting on retention. The trades who get value from Lead-Flo stay for years. The setup fee is a barrier-to-entry tax that doesn't make sense when we're trying to prove the product to the first 20 customers.

After Foundation closes, the $1,000 setup is back. By then we'll have case studies, references, and enough data that new customers don't need the discount to take the leap.
